The spring fair season is well and truly underway and over the past few days our Italian team attended the 55th Vinitaly event for the 13th consecutive year alongside more than 4,000 other companies from 30 nations!

The event in Verona is one of the largest dedicated to the world of wine and we were especially pleased to exhibit alongside the writer, digital storyteller and well-known sommelier, Adua Villa, who explained how important the role of transportation is for shippers of wine and other beverages.

Massimiliano Peres, CEO of Palletways Italy, said: “It’s estimated the industry is worth 31.3 billion euros to the Italian economy and for us it represents one of our core businesses both nationally and internationally.

“Every year Vinitaly gives us the chance to engage with wineries and this year was no different – we were grateful for the opportunity to present the strength of our logistics services dedicated to the transport of wine, particularly those in the e-commerce sector. We’ve worked hard to develop our B2B and B2C services for the wine sector to preserve the quality of the product throughout the supply chain to guarantee the satisfaction of the end customer.”
