With the launch of Palletwaysonline, the company has sucessully expanded into the business to consumer (B2C) and consumer to consumer markets (C2C) without overlooking the traditional business to business (B2B) market. This service change also enhances the direct channel of e-commerce, which experienced extraordinary levels of growth during the first phase of the pandemic.
Recent data from Netcomm, the Italian Digital Commerce Consortium, shows that during the lockdown period in Italy, the number of new online consumers in Italy tripled, reaching the threshold of 2 million between January and May. This is compared to 700,000 in 2019 over the same period, when the total revenue from online sales in the country had already exceeded €31 bn euros.
