Palletways Iberia has once again pledged its support to the El Motor de tus Pasos Association – a not-for-profit organisation that raises funds for scientific research into Charcot-Marie Tooth diseases.
Following its recent sponsorship of the El Motor de tus Pasos charity which participated in a week-long Pilgrim Race, Palletways Iberia has now invested in branded t-shirts for all of its employees.
The t-shirts have been designed by Olivia García, a girl affected by Charcot Marie Tooth disease, a neurological disorder that belongs to the group of so-called hereditary neuropathies and currently affects more than 17,000 people in Spain.
Gregorio Hernando, General Manager of Palletways Iberia, said: “All the proceeds from this new initiative will be used for scientific research, as well as to give greater visibility to this rare disease. We wanted to demonstrate our support of the Association El Motor de tus Pasos once again to help raise even more funding for this vital scientific work.”
Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) is a group of inherited conditions that damage the peripheral nerves. It’s a rare degenerative neuromuscular disease that affects the motor skills of muscles and is also known as hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy (HMSN) or peroneal muscular atrophy (PMA).
