As we head towards the financial year-end in June, Massimiliano Peres, CEO for Palletways Italy discusses the changes the company has made to make a difference to its bottom line and the across the wider transport and logistics industry.

Palletways Italy has invested heavily to secure the growth of its network having recently made several key managerial appointments. In addition to Massimiliano being announced as CEO, the Palletways family also welcomed Bruno Oliana as Director of the Network, Emanuele Borganti as Operations Director, Piero Campelli as Chief Information Officer and Luigi Impagnatiello as Chief Financial Officer.

Commenting, Massimiliano said: “The management team over the last ten to 15 years has brought excellent results however the world is changing and it’s our duty to adapt and structure ourselves to best meet our needs which are constantly evolving. Our new team bring with them a wealth of experience which will help us deliver our three main objectives; to create a cohesive, efficient and well-aligned team, increase our volumes and renew our processes to grow efficiency via digital and technological advances.

“We’ve already made major strides in the information technology field. We’ve replaced our management system with a new web-based tool, have introduced new applications that allow us to have control of processes in real-time and the use of handheld devices that can scan documents and load them immediately into the system has enabled us to go paperless.”
