Canterbury-based logistics firm Salvatori has joined Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network, in order to boost further growth.
Salvatori, which is based in Aylesham Industrial Estate, will handle up to 500 pallets in and around the Canterbury and Ashford areas.
The move will support the continued growth of the company, which employs more than 100 people across its depots in Canterbury, Rochester and Calais.
Founder and Director, Daniel Salvatori, said: “Being part of Palletways will enable us to have access to state-of-the-art IT systems which are far more advanced than the competition. The IT platform in place will allow us to see where our customers’ pallets are at any given time and will help us enhance customer and operational excellence.
“Palletways is really ahead of the game and we look forward to the numerous opportunities that being part of the network affords.”
Luis Zubialde, Managing Director at Palletways UK ltd added: “Salvatori is one of six new members to join our UK network and I am pleased to welcome them. Demand for our palletised freight services has risen rapidly over recent months and we look forward to drawing in their experience to grow our business even further in the South East of England.”
Salvatori was founded some 80 years ago and today boasts a 70 strong vehicle fleet working from its three bases in England and France. The company recently announced the appointment of two directors who will drive Salvatori’s growth even further. Phill Macey is the group transport and operations director and Mark Taylor is the group financial director.
Salvatori is one of more than 100 members in the Palletways UK network. Palletways’ distribution networks are made up of independent transport companies who share resources to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before.
