Alun Cathcart
Chairman, Palletways Group
Alun joined the Palletways Board as non executive Chairman in 2004 when James Wilson and Phoenix Equity Partners concluded the management buy in acquisition. He is also Chairman of Avis Europe. Alun spent 14 years in executive positions in the transportation industry before joining Avis Europe in 1980 and became Chief Executive in 1983. Until January 1999 he was Chairman and Chief Executive of Avis Europe plc. Alun has also held Chairman roles in Selfridges Group, Rank Corporation and EMAP.
