LOCAL TRANSPORT COMPANY RAISES MONEY FOR CHARITY
Lichfield-based distribution company Palletways Birmingham, part of Europe’s largest and fastest growing pallet network, has raised almost £3,500 for two charities - Everyman and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Palletways Birmingham held a charity race-night at the Snowdome in Tamworth that was attended by over 150 colleagues and customers. It was sponsored by local businesses including B&J Holdings, X2, Proactive Personnel, Allports Truck Centre, NPW Couriers, Deka Trailers, Snowdome Tamworth, and Transport Data Interchange. The evening was a resounding success, raising £2,651.25 for Everyman.
Steve Valentine, Operations Manager, and Shaun Rowley, Collection & Delivery Driver, also joined thousands of runners at the Birmingham Half Marathon to raise money for Everyman and local charity Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Garry Curtis, Principal at Palletways Birmingham, comments: “Palletways has supported Everyman for a number of years through the Palletways ‘Drive out Male Cancer’ campaign and I am particularly delighted at Shaun’s efforts in supporting Acorns Children’s Hospice which is a charity local to our depot. We’re really pleased with the amount we’ve raised for such worthwhile causes.”
