LOCAL DISTRIBUTION COMPANY DRIVES AHEAD
Local distribution company, Systematic Logistics International, a member of Palletways, the number one pallet network in Europe, has invested in new vehicles to accommodate its growing number of national and international customers.
The firm invested in four new and improved 18 tonne MAN vehicles, bringing the total number in the company’s fleet to 21. The new vehicles feature a sloping roof to improve on fuel efficiency and to limit damage on country roads and is also iPhone ready for PDA’s. Plans are currently in the pipeline to move current 7.5 tonners within the fleet to Isuzu 12 tonners, as part of the company’s drive to increase productivity.
Andrew Triolo, Managing Director of Systematic Logistics International, said: “Not only will the improvement in our vehicle fleet allow us to continue to develop our business via the Palletways network, but will also enable us to maintain the leading edge service that we provide to our customers as we grow.”

Palletways, which was set up in 1994, has 270 plus depots across the UK and mainland Europe and handles circa 21,000 pallets a day through eight hub facilities across Europe. The company’s distribution networks in the UK and mainland Europe are supported by an unrivalled and fully integrated IT infrastructure, which allows customers to track and trace consignments using the internet.

- Barcode technology and web-based track and trace monitor all consignments throughout the whole distribution process to all European destinations.
